What it is

Knowing what a system is doing while it runs: what failed and why, what users actually do, and whether a release made either worse.

Why we chose it

Logs go through LogLayer as structured events, so they can be filtered by field rather than grepped as prose, and the transport is a configuration detail rather than something the calling code knows about. Sentry captures errors with the stack trace and the context needed to reproduce them, which is the difference between a report and a ticket nobody can act on. For product analytics we use Plausible: it is cookieless and collects no personal data, so there is no consent banner to show and nothing sensitive to leak — a privacy decision that happens to also be a better experience.

Where we use it

On everything we operate. A system without this is one we would be guessing about, including this site.
capturemycarro.app
The Mycarro car search engine as it runs today, searching across its live Portuguese listings.

Mycarrocar marketplace and dealer CRM

A used-car marketplace live in Portugal. Consumer search over listings gathered from across the market, a dealer back office for leads, inventory and invoicing, and a mobile app — built end to end.
